France expresses concern over the Afghan government’s decision to release Taliban prisoners

The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it was “deeply concerned” about the release of those responsible for the killings.

The Foreign Ministry added that Taliban prisoners had killed French nationals and opposed their release.

According to the French Foreign Ministry, Taliban prisoners who had been released killed French soldiers and aid workers.

In a statement, the French Foreign Ministry called on the Afghan government to immediately halt the release of Taliban prisoners.

It should be noted that the Afghan Loya Jirga had approved the release of 400 Taliban prisoners, a move welcomed by the United States.
