Landslide Kills More Than 160 In Myanmar

More than 160 people have been killed and dozens injured in a landslide at a gemstone mine in northern Myanmar.

According to foreign media, the incident took place in northern Myanmar where heavy rains caused landslides, which buried many workers working in search of precious stones.

Authorities have confirmed that 160 people were killed and more than 50 were injured, calling it the worst in the industry.

The fire service department said that so far 162 bodies have been recovered and shifted to nearby hospitals while rescue operations are underway at the spot and more missing persons are being searched.
