Iran’s letter to the UN Secretary-General against the United States

Iranian Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif has written a letter to the United Nations Secretary-General informing him of a possible disruption in Venezuela’s oil supplies to Iran.

Jawad Zarif says the US Navy’s deployment in the Caribbean is intended to interfere in the supply of Iranian oil to Venezuela, and that any such move would be illegal and a form of looting.

He warned that the United States would be responsible for the consequences of any illegal activity.

Iranian media say there are reports of four US Navy ships in a possible collision with Iranian tankers.

On the other hand, the US envoy to Venezuela says that Venezuela is paying Iran in gold to revive its oil sector.

It should be noted that the United States has imposed unilateral sanctions on the oil exports of Iran and Venezuela.
